The summer Kunstsalon in the Sala Terrena of Salzburg’s Paris Lodron
University is already established as a worthy visual arts equivalent to
the Salzburg Festival.
Four distinguished international galleries from Austria and Germany have developed a concept that goes beyond that
of the classic art fair, and in a compelling, coherent group exhibition they show selected works by the artists they represent.
In a special presentation in the Sala Terrena we show selected Face Farce and Body Pose works by Arnulf Rainer, to mark his 90th birthday.
On display are twenty overworkings based on diverse photo sessions and dating from between 1968 and 1975. Complementing the presentation are photographs by Elisabeth Mejchar and Peter Baum, who document Arnulf Rainer's work.
